Legendary Stardust Cowboy - Paralyzed

Ya que he nombrado al rey de Roma,Ledge por la puerta asoma ...

At age 19 he turns into a "professional entertainer". Picks up electronic technology studies after high school. Participates at an AM radio contest in Forth Worth where a barely twenty year old T Bone Burnett (!) records and plays drums on his first (Billboard Top 200) 7" single Paralyzed which found its way to then label-mate David Bowie who (apart from adopting his "Stardust" for Ziggy) ended up covering his "I Took A Trip On A Gemini Spaceship" on his own Heathen album. Some comings and goings between Lubbock, California and New York were supposed to get him on the Tonight Show, but had to settle for a rather misunderstood appearance at Rowan & Martin's Laugh In. A rocky relationship with Major Bill Smith (mutual tape stealing included) didn't help things either. So he got to the verge of homelessness and then actually working as security guard for Lockheed-Martin (thus establishing the NASA connection).
Jim Yanaway (Amazing Records) offered him his first real band-backed recording (Mike Buck, Steve Derr, Don Laady and Jim Colegrove, later the LeRoi Brothers) a series of recordings between 1979 and 1981 that would end up in 1984's Rock-it To Stardom LP.
